Reposting: First They Came for the Climate Scientists

Fake News and the “Alt Right” is nothing new to Climate Scientists.
See this 2010 item from ABC News – the same folks celebrating the elevation of Donald Trump and Richard Bannon to the White House have been threatening scientists for most of a decade.

    1. Richard = slang / archaic term for rooster = a certain reported act that Bannon of Breitfart reported engages in maybe that’s the joke here?

Oh & yeah, there might be an intentional misspelling in this comment too.

PS. What exactly is your point here and are you arguing against what Peter Sinclair said or just clarifying I’m not sure?

  1. Here’s a version that depends on your sense of humor:

First they came for the climate scientists, and I did nothing, because they never did a thing for me.

Then they came for the Climate Commissioners, and I did nothing, because my popcorn was still in the microwave.

Then they came for the climate psychologists, and I did nothing, because what right did I have to Insert myself Illegitimately?

Then they came for the climate ethicists, climate anthropologists, climate negotiators, climate linguists, climate entrepreneurs and climate railway engineers, and I finally decided enough was enough. It was time to do something.

So I got a couple of homeboys with a blowtorch and a pair of pliers and joined in.

  2. It should be pointed out the leftists wackos are just as violent against anybody they do not like. Example would be the pipeline. Riot and burn the place down is the order of the day in the leftist camp. Most of the alt right as you put it just grumble and have peaceful marches to protest.

All this ignores the actual issue. Is man warming the climate and if so how much? Per MODTRAN a CO2 model doubling the CO2 to 800 PPM would raise the temperature about 0.67F, 150 years from today.

If one goes back in time the increase in CO2 from preindustrial times is less than that so the warming from increased CO2 is pretty minimal if one considers it was warmer than today in 1000 AD with 280 ppm CO2 instead of today’s 400 ppm. A lot of the present CO2 ppm is dissolved CO2 coming out of solution as the planet warms from the little ice age.

So what is actually changing the climate? That leaves the sun, changes in earths tilt and orbit and increased solar output which per various studies has been increasing for at least 100 years.

A roundabout confirmation is the melting of the last ice age. Millions of cubic miles of ice melted off per NASA studies in a few hundred years with almost no change in CO2. That leaves the sun as the melter.
