This bloom is a whole new scale, creating chaos, poisoning other species, creating dead zones over the whole region – this is no joke.
Could it become a way to sequester carbon?

    It’s one of the sad realities that the island paradises base large parts of their economy on having people fly in (sometimes long distances) to visit.

    Seaweed rots, so almost certainly not.
