Bill Nye on Hurricanes and Ian

A bit taken aback here when Bill Nye mentions “people breathing” as one of the causes of climate change (along with burning stuff, of course) – but shit, Bill, up your game.
On the other hand, he did call out Fox News for cherry picking misleading hurricane data.

I had a re-think about Bill Nye over a decade ago when he was advocating people cutting down their trees so they could put up solar panels. Even if the city of Austin allowed it, I’m not cutting down these 50+ ft. trees to put solar panels up. We’ve got plenty enough high schools, parking lots and treeless open scrubland for solar panels without cutting down what little critter-friendly habitat we allow.

I can cut him some slack for the off-the-cuff comment. I’m sure if he was stopped to ask about “breathing” he’d clarify.
