The ‘unkindest cut of all’ is that ‘weather manipulation’ and ‘DNA manipulation’ are engineering potentialities that begin, fundamentally, with the acceptance of scientific results, and what those results say about the deep reality of nature. Yet the rejection of scientific results, regarding climate, is precisely how we got here. This woman literally assigns the overnight intensification of Ian to ‘weather manipulation’, rather than a long-identified consequence of the continuing denial of global warming by people like herself.
At this point, I have to wonder how this all ends. Either it ends with the proper assignment of what is happening to the same gas physics that, for 150 years, has made your internal-combustion-engine function as designed… or it ends in Salem Witch Trials 2.0. I’m a little astonished that someone like Witzke can mouth what is Science Fiction as the cause of her difficulties, while stoutly rejecting the Science upon which that Fiction must necessarily be based.
