Lots of pictures, but no name brand mention, of Tesla. Funny, that GM and Ford were both mentioned specifically. That screams an approved ‘narrative’ to me.
What is with the intentional and very special negative treatment for Tesla? Also, no mention whatsoever of its new battery technology that doesn’t need cobalt; instead, the ‘narrative’ being sold on the public dime here insists China controls much of the resources needed for EVs. Well, maybe for legacy car makers used to horizontal supply chains. But Tesla is a vertically integrated company that doesn’t fit the scare-mongering narrative. Why Tesla is not widely and enthusiastically championed by media as the massive American success story it is mystifies those who want American industry – and not just Democratically approved unionized archaic companies – to be recognized at home for leading the world in energy technology. That’s what Tesla is: an energy technology company that ALSO happens to make cars.
Just because Tesla has been producing more EVs than GM and Ford to date with its head start doesn’t mean it will be able to compete when GM and Ford turn their massive production around.
