7000 Flee Fire in California

Fires rake Northern California, while in Death Valley, visitors come to see “what 125° F feels like”.

Of course, for may of the rest of us, if we just sit tight, we’ll probably find out.

    The color coding legend goes up to 130°F.

    Realistically , as a species are we not now at the point where runaway-climate-change , and it’s apocalyptic accompaniments is now unavoidable ?

      While “there’s still time” in the physical sense, I don’t see the political scenario where we can get emissions flat, much less bend down the Keeling Curve. Meanwhile, the melting permafrost and larger forest fires are cranking up the natural sources of GHGs, so we’re ice skating uphill.
