    The media still have trouble grokking the difference between a power plant with buy-once (and occasionally replace) solar panels buy-burn-buy-burn-buy fossil fuel. The panel makers of course depend on supply chain issues, but no more so than people who make furnaces or internal combustion engines.

    The pandemic pretty much hit the whole world and a wide range of supply chains, but worldwide oil price shocks have been triggered multiple times by events much smaller in scope than than the pandemic. We’re not going to war over wind farms and solar panels.

    Whoa! Just saw the part where the nuclear cheerleader says part of the problem of solar is “too long of a cycle in terms of production and some of the demand side.” Nuclear is old and established yet their turnarounds are getting worse.
