So, no one here cares about moose in MN?

Too bad—they are important parts of the north country ecosystem, and the troubles they face will spread to other animals and localities as AGW progresses.

I myself will miss them because they are just neat to watch—-big, homely, not too fearful of humans—-and their babies are among the cutest around. I’ll never forget the first time I saw them in the wild in Wyoming—had been used to whitetail deer in NJ and my reaction was WOW!

I care. I planned to use that Vox video as an example of three different ways climate change is affecting moose.

(BTW, a møøse once bit my sister.)

Your sister must have gotten way too close to the moose—did she try to feed it?

I saw a woman attempt that at Yellowstone—she was part of a crowd of 20+ people who were in a semicircle around the moose and 20-25 feet away. The moose was grazing and paying us no attention until she took two steps towards it, which produced some head-tossing and pawing and vocalizations—-we all moved back 10 feet and things quieted down.
