New Video: Climate Crushing Infrastructure, Housing, in Heartland

June 17, 2020

Every part of America will eventually get the wake up call – that climate change is not just something that happens to brown-skinned people in Bangladesh.
It’s here, now, and it’s coming for your town, your home, and your pocketbook.

For my community, which has historically not been subject to frequent weather extremes, the wake up came on May 19.

Another nice video from the same old climate warriors with lots of good FACTS.
When are we going to start listening to them and doing something?

As usual, The Onion is again telling it like it is:

All I can say is people who still deny that anything has changed must have no input channels into their brains.

What used to be called Global Weirding is now evidendent nearly everywhere, even Putin admits it.

“Some of our cities were built north of the Arctic Circle, on the permafrost. If it begins to thaw, you can imagine what consequences it would have. It’s very serious.”

And the outlook looks worrisome for India as they get their first official Climate report.

“Rainfall patterns have changed, with longer dry spells intermittent with heavy rainfall events. The frequency of very severe cyclones has increased over the Arabian Sea. Over the Himalayas, the glacier retreat is going at a fast pace. Glacier melt and ocean warming are raising the sea level across the Indian Ocean.

Dang it! I misread the headline to mean that a flood had washed out the Heartland Institute building.

In the meantime, the second cut off low in a month lingers over the mid-Atlantic coast of the US and is moving inland , dropping inches of unneeded rain. These trapped lows are a new and unwelcome addition to the weather weirdness over the US. Too bad we can’t send them to NZ.
