After weeks of protests over the killing of George Floyd in police custody, protests and marches are already planned this year for the holiday in many states.In 1921, Tulsa was the site of one of the country’s bloodiest outbreaks of racist violence, when white mobs attacked black citizens and businesses with guns and explosives dropped from airplanes.

They were all outside – miniscule chance of spreading the virus, especially as almost all of them were wearing masks.
Trump’s hatefests are inside, packed tight, lots of people literally foaming at the mouth and no masks because – you know – freedom and stuff.

Those who are yelling/chanting in a packed group can spread the coronavirus. Being silent or speaking in a low voice or keeping distance while protesting is much safer.
Also, way too many people everywhere are wearing their masks under their noses, as if they don’t breath through their noses.

Declared rigid borders
Put up barricades (a wall) to protect the border
The border is closed to immigrants
The border is manned by armed “ICE” border guard agents
They have instituted their own police force
The police force is controlled by a war lord
The new police force forces compliance with violence
Financial revenues garnered by protection racket extortion scheme
Claim imperialist style extra-territorial jurisdiction

The significance of this rally has nothing to do with Covid.
This rally is about Trump giving a message to Southern racists and white supremacists. This rally is scheduled for June 19th – otherwise known as Juneteenth – a day commemorating the end of slavery in the US.
And it is going to be, of all places, in Tulsa, OK. Scene of the largest most brutal massacre of innocent black people in America’s history.
This is no two coincidences. This is deliberate. When the country is in the middle of race riots over police brutality to blacks, THIS is what Trump does ?!?
This is DISGUSTING.
And answers as clearly as possible the questions of whether Trump is a racist and whether he has the morals or ethics to lead this country. This is the loudest dog whistle in American history.
And not a single howl from the Republicans, who love to bark about being the party of emancipation.

Absolutely. Trump and the Republicans have completely subverted almost every federal agency from its mission to protect the US people to make them tools of the acquisitive oligarchy. The EPA is the most obvious; even though the courts have reversed more than 90% of his decrees, the agency is ruined for a generation. I expect tens of thousands at least will die as a result. To subvert our most important commemorations is just another step in the degradation this rotting toad is causing. His hatred and nihilism will compel him to keep the wrecking ball going until there’s nothing left. Look for him to go to East St.Louis soon.
The Democrats could have won the presidency with a trained opossum if they vigorously backed progressive policies. They chose instead to lie, cheat and steal Biden’s way past Bernie into the nomination—someone who will succeed in destroying most of what Trump is destroying because he’ll be supported by both parties and he’s only a sliver less damaged a human being. Except his mind will be Swiss cheese in 2 years and those policies will be implemented by unelected neoliberal functionaries with no one identifiable to intercede with the oligarchs. Unless we broaden the rebellion and stop it.
