Heartwarming video highlighting a fascinating trend. Koalas are traditionally shy and solitary and tended to freak out at humans. As pointed out by a crock contributor, picking them up is dangerous resulting in large and strong claws being used. Now such videos and stories of Koalas approaching humans for help, and even comfort, abound. Koala touching noses with dog (canine) at water tough, mind blower. Bunch congregating in an air conditioned car to escape the heat. Seems they are smart enough to overcome their nature when needed. All good anyway.

Yes, heartwarming. Nature is not always “red in tooth and claw”. Too bad we won’t find out about other critters “smart enough to overcome their nature” as we push so many species to extinction.

That would be “drop bears”.
