    While Mercury is much closer to the Sun than Venus, Venus is much hotter. Why? CO2 and “the Greenhouse effect”.

    While an atmosphere with a tiny amount of CO2 prevents the Earth from going through roller-coaster temperature changes like we see on our moon (obviously both are the same distance from the Sun), too much CO2 would make Earth more “Venus like”
