In Iowa and Midwest, Flooding Continues

Unprecedented flooding continues in the American midwest – and scientists have been increasingly certain that the rising frequency of extremes is climate related. I knew it was still ongoing just from observations locally in Michigan, where farmers who had to delay, or cancel, planting in the spring are finding it just as difficult to get into the fields to harvest, even now in December..
But the tweet above from the Iowa Department of Transportation (dated December 13) was a serious wake-up.
