The power of her enemies shows the power of Greta!

I want to like her, but in that speech she sounds to me like a sanctimonious little twerp.

      “Sounds like”

Name one thing in her speech that is wrong.

She’s a teenager with Asperger’s. Maybe if Morgan Freeman took the transcript of her words and read it himself word for word, you wouldn’t be calling him a “sanctimonious little twerp”.

What do you want the youngster to to say ? – that’s she is grateful for the immense progress mankind has made building on burning fossils. What an exciting future our young can expect built on the previous generation’s efforts. . We have got to a point in our evolution where we clearly need to sharply change for the benefit of all. How can you say it without sounding preachy and sanctimonious. Or what’s more truer how can you expect a 16 year old child to convey the simple message. How old are you mboli ? , you should not expect a child to lead you to a safe future for mankind. You should know it, and lead.

    Holy sheet.

“I still believe that the biggest danger is not inaction. The real danger is when politicians and CEOs are making it look like real action is happening when in fact almost nothing is being done apart from clever accounting and creative PR.”

Exactamundo. Inaction is of course horrible, but inaction by itself creates a need within the public for real action. Inaction cannot stand forever. The real problem, though, is when we pat ourselves on the back for some barely effective half measure and sell it to the public as a solution. It neuters real action, because the public becomes convinced something is being done, and as a result the outcry for real action is dampened.
