Not that I want to see the planet destroyed, but it’s time to remind everyone that these Brazilians. like people in developing countries all across the globe, are just trying to improve their lives, and are using the exploitative capitalist model that WE taught them. (Jeffy? Time for a rant here).
Remember? Cross the Atlantic, kill off millions of Native Americans, kill millions of Bison, rape the environment, etc? Just like the colonial powers also did in Africa, Asia, and South America?
It seems a bit hypocritical to call them “deniers” when they’re just doing what we did. We haven’t managed to address climate change in the 40+ years that it’s been a concern—-maybe the Brazilian “deniers” will become more enlightened and deal with it in only 20 years, in which case we will applaud them.
We crossed the point of no return several years ago. I possibly does not matter what we do anymore. But its still sad that greed is controlling the narrative!
