    Impeccable logic from the man behind the “Earth: The Operators’ Manual”, the forensic analogy is spot on.

    He’s seen it all before in his line of work and his advise should be taken seriously.

    from abc net. . . . . . . . ====>

    ‘Hasn’t climate change always happened?’ Scientists address the big questions

    “To change from say 300 parts per million to 400 parts per million would take tens of thousands of years.

    “We’ve now seen that change in a little over 100 years.”

    Ho-hum. Of course Richard Alley gave a great answer. He’s one of my fiancés, you know.

    Politicians, like most non-scientific humans, seem to be unable to comprehend geometric growth. This is made worse by the fact that people now throw around terms like million, billion, trillion with little knowledge of how many zeros come after the leading number. Even then, they count the zeros in a linear way but forget that the number represents something exponential growth. This is a long, round about way of saying that 7.7 billion humans “trying” to live like Americans “will” affect the environment. Anyway, I suggest everyone reading this blub visit, then save, this link: https://populationmatters.org/

    p.s. the population counter is just below the half way mark

    I found out about this same hearing from my Google news app. It filters ‘climate change’ to my feed. Anyway, there was an article by some obscure denier news source about how Mo Brooks had gotten the panel to agree that ‘the climate change that started 20K years ago was not man made’.

    Here’s the release by Rep. Brooks:
    https://brooks.house.gov/media-center/news-releases/congressman-brooks-bipartisan-panel-scientists-confirms-humans-are-not

    There’s a video in there that shows his part of the hearing:

    It just goes to show the rank dishonesty of these people. Brooks knows he’s warping the hearing. He doesn’t care.

    Pundits like Rush Limbaugh later praised Brooks for his ‘brilliant’ tactic.

    • mboli Says:

      “Thank you, Representative Brooks! You have made our point quite well. The ice age shows dramatically the effects a few watts of radiative imbalance. Mother Nature did the experiment for us not so long ago: kilometers-deep ice as far south as Chicago, a hundred meters of sea level change. Human greenhouse gas emissions are in danger of producing an an ice-age sized radiative imbalance. If we don’t do something we can expect that ice-age sized effects will follow.”

      Nobody will ever answer like that in a Congressional hearing. But I can dream….

    • Rep. HurrDurr: “How do we really know the earth is round? It all looks flat to me…well, except for the pointy bits I see when I drive my coal-powered Hummer to ski vacations. I’m always careful not to get too close to the edge, there are monsters down there! I’ve heard tell there are Antifas, NWOs, and even a few algores lurking in the shadows, ready to rip a man’s soul right out his keister! Good thing I already sold mine to Beelzebub. Well, not really, it was a handshake deal, he shoulda known I don’t keep handshake deals. He said my handshake gave him a rash because he was allergic to stoopid. I have no idea what he meant by that…”
