Still hedging on the cause and solutions; not ready to admit what’s happening.

not sure what data is out there, but carbon dioxide does not even exist in atmosphere and when it does it such it minute amounts, there is not way it could change climate. this is getting beyond 1984.
July 11, 2019 at 9:35 pm
actually there is a lot of data out there, and co2 does exist in the atmosphere, genius.
you’re welcome to come back when you’ve acquainted yourself with the science.
July 11, 2019 at 9:54 pm
Does “you’re welcome to come back when you’ve acquainted yourself with the science” mean that you’ve banned this moron? A good move—-he has said more stupid things in a shorter time and worn out his welcome here many times faster than anyone in memory.
July 12, 2019 at 1:57 am
smh, you people need to get out of your echo chmabers of lies, the whole climate change and global warming ‘sciecne’ is collapsing around you and not even see it.
July 12, 2019 at 1:54 am
lol, the higest ever recorded level of co2 in atmosphere is 4 parts per ten thousand (0.04 per cent, and you calling me moron?), you are not using science, you are using a low intelligence, emotional hyped version of ideology, ie brainwashed. co2 is oo unstable to even remain in atmosphere.
July 13, 2019 at 12:37 am
Stupid scientists and their stupid laws of physics! Just because they spend years studying and reproducing physical effects like the infrared radiation absorption of trace amounts of greenhouse gases, they still don’t know as much as us regular people.
July 13, 2019 at 5:12 am
not sure if you being scarcastic, how can you reproduce something in a lab and say is is the same in atmosphere when there is no carbon in the atmosphere, there is no global warming. Not sure if you notice, but each day the sun goes and atmosphere is so cold that carbon just falls out of the sky onto the earth like mist.
July 14, 2019 at 2:42 am
Where in the world did you get the idea that carbon dioxide is unstable?
The measured levels of carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere have been increasing much faster than plants can absorb them.
CO2 blocks infrared light the way ink blocks human-visible light:

Two good papers with excellent ideas—-one of them is three years old, the other two—-but we’re not making very rapid progress at implementing the “emergency mode” or “climate truth” strategies. Too much “hedging”?
July 12, 2019 at 2:13 am
it is global governance which is under attack and they using climate change, (what ever that is?) to divide opinion. the media and social media, needs to report truth, not ideology and mind control. when you just going to admit it is all a lie.

Driving around in all that water saying “What Global Warming?” Crazy people They should stop driving those cars anyhow..

Short Miami Real Estate. However, I do hope Trump hangs on to his Mara Lago to the bitter end.
June 28, 2019 at 4:27 pm
I thought everything that Trump had was mortgaged to the hilt. Now if he was at Mar-a-Lago when a Cat 5 hit….
June 29, 2019 at 11:02 am
Yes, there’s no doubt that if Mar-a-Lago washes away, Trump will default and find some way to let others pay the price for him—-that’s the way he accumulated all those (imaginary) riches.
And the thought of Cat 5 winds blowing his tresses around brings a smile to the face.

this is a joke, florida has always been known for its shit weather, hurricanes and flooding and now it is because of climate change? let see more bullshit from MSNPC
June 30, 2019 at 9:42 pm
This is absurd. The Mayor wants the federal government to bail out the city by massive infrastructure funding, but not to deal with the causes of global warming.
July 1, 2019 at 6:42 am
Clarity, vision and planning needed as time progresses, a lot of money wasted on trying to keep existing infrastructures working, hard to visualize these coastal institutions in a few more decades – will students need to travel by boat – or are people who should know better just gambling hard earned dollars away?
“In colleges located in these threatened seaside regions, from Texas to Florida to New Jersey, administrators and scientists say they have no plans to move. Instead, they are raising buildings and constructing protective barriers in hopes of making their campuses safe for the foreseeable future.”

I attended college for a time in one of the towns and colleges on the threatened list—Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. It’s true that the college occupies the highest point in town—200 feet above water on the NJ Palisades—-we looked down on the decks of ships parked at the docks below and the view out my dorm window of midtown Manhattan was the same as that on postcards. The founder’s mansion was at the highest point and was called The Castle.
We tried not to go down too often into Hoboken proper—-it was a grungy, nasty town in the late 1950’s, although it has gentrified and cleaned up greatly since then. We DID have to go downtown to find stores, restaurants, and the buses and trains that we took to go home or into Manhattan. I don’t see the school remaining in place on its island hilltop once the waters rise.

Miami the NEW VENICE!
July 1, 2019 at 10:27 am
We have enough places named Venice in the USA, and there’s already one in Florida—-the one in CA even has some canals. Once the water gets high enough, Miami will simply be abandoned, in which case it will be more akin to the pyramids than the “old” Venice. BTW, the real Venice will long be gone by that time, along with quite a few other major cities.

fakenews … all of it

geez this is worst fake news i ever seen.

Miami has a land subsidence problem and has an agency to deal with it. The land is subsiding due to extraction of water for all those people to drink and diversion of surface flows which recharged those underground water sources. The sand sinks and cannot be unsunk so the ground is permanently lower. Places in the central valley of California have sunk more than 10 feet due to that problem. Galveston Texas, New Orleans LA and a whole lot of other places have the same problem. Actual ocean rise for the last 20 years has been essentially zero per NOAA tidal gauges on land not sinking or rising. Here is Miami Relative Sea Level Trend
8723170 Miami Beach, look at the 1970 and up numbers.

In spite of having it explained a number of times that Miami’s main problem is NOT subsidence, jerry doodoo insists on spouting his irrelevant crap about OTHER places and wasting our time. IMO, it is time to add him to the list of morons that have been banned from Crock.
July 12, 2019 at 2:00 am
you wanna ban people for pointing out facts and lies? call yourself scientists? alot of miami was built on drained swamps and some parts below sea level, now they asking for funding for fix their past mistakes. climate change, more like corrupt business people.
July 15, 2019 at 9:00 pm
The City of Miami is built on porous limestone rock.
The City of Miami Beach is built on barrier islands.
What does it take to get this through your thick head?
