Denier: We Need More CO2 so I can Eat my Greens

April 20, 2019

Although Climate Denial is dying along with the old white guys who are it’s principle purveyors, we still get gems like this.

I treated this one Lo so many years ago in the perfect video for 4/20.

and if you need more, see below…

    He’s picking cherries, not greens.

  2. Keith McClary Says:

“Climate Denial is dying along with the old white guys who are it’s principle purveyors”

    Wackypedia has this
“List of scientists who disagree with the scientific consensus on global warming”

(Misleading title, since it only includes the denialst side of the consensus.)

The “scientists” are increasingly emeritus, former, retired or deceased and Wackypedia has trouble finding new ones, even resorting to Patrick Moore.

  3. J4Zonian Says:

If I were on the committee I might have asked

Why did you specify green vegetables? Do you also like and is CO2 also good for purple vegetables? Red vegetables? (although tomatoes are botanically actually a fruit and radishes are only sort of red and only on the outside.) Yellow vegetables? Orange vegetables? Brown vegetables? Green vegetables that had turned brown? How bout green fruits?
(At this point he’d be thinking I’m about to run through different colors of fruits but I’d trip him up with a sudden tack):

Do you think my line of questioning is ridiculous?

(I suspect he would have said yes. And I could answer):

Not one bit more ridiculous than your comment was. And mine were harmless.

  4. Ann Rogers Says:

Hi Peter I am reading Bill McGibbon’s new book and highly recommend it. Did you see him when you were in Greenland? peace 2nn

Daryl … Only word that comes to mind is dildo.

  6. mboli Says:

Apparently Daryl Metcalf is chair of the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee (in the PA legislature). A few weeks ago his committee held an “informational meeting” dedicated to the principle that CO2 is good.
Here is an article in the Tribune-Review. The “I CO2” graphic is priceless.
The “informational meeting” featured one Gregory Wrightstone, a hard-core denier who wrote a book explaining his theory.

  7. dumboldguy Says:

All Wrightstone wishes for is a raise from those he whores for—-Heartland, The Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change, the NIPPC, and the fossil fuel interests. That’s all whores want—more money for the deed.

  8. redskylite Says:

If CO2 is so beneficial to us, ask him where are all our glaciers going ?

“For anyone who says global warming is a farce, I would say let’s have this conversation in front of a disappearing glacier in New Zealand.

  9. rhymeswithgoalie Says:

I started to (re-) watch your 2009 CDCotW video Don’t It Make My Green World Brown when it got to your breakdown of atmospheric content:”carbon dioxide, which is only 388 parts per million….”

With 400ppm well in the rear-view mirror now, I haz a sad.

I have to make a point of looking at the year of any report on AGW/CC because things have been changing so quickly.
