Polling Data Shows Climate Concerns Building

73 percent get it that it’s happening. 62 percent know it’s human caused.
Would have been great numbers in 1995. Guess we’ll take what we can get.

Good discussion in the clip, but a bit bright-sided. There are a lot of inconsistencies and contradictions in the data, and the numbers of “don’t know, don’t believe, don’t talk about it” cretins are way too high. Considering all the weather disasters and bad news over the past few years, the needle is going to have to move a lot faster.

I’m not impressed. When polls show that people are worried about climate change AND are willing to pay a big chunk of their income to solve it for all future generations, then I’ll feel a bit of encouragement. Another version of such a recent poll said that 70% of people were “personally concerned” about human-caused climate change. And also that 70% would vote AGAINST taxing at even just $10/month to do anything about it. A lousy burrito’s worth of $ per month is too much to save the planet.
“Yeah, we’re worried, but WE didn’t cause it and somebody ELSE can pay for fixing it!
Polls like this, especially when they’re just Hopium Happy Talk, only irritate me, not encourage me.
