Greta Thunberg: The TED Talk

December 18, 2018

This young lady, demands, your attention.

Greta Thunberg realized at a young age the lapse in what several climate experts were saying and in the actions that were being taken in society. The difference was so drastic in her opinion that she decided to take matters into her own hands. Greta is a 15-year-old Stockholm native who lives at home with her parents and sister Beata. Sheโ€™s a 9th grader in Stockholm who enjoys spending her spare time riding Icelandic horses, spending time with her families two dogs, Moses and Roxy. She love animals and has a passion for books and science. At a young age, she became interested in the environment and convinced her family to adopt a sustainable lifestyle. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

She is one of the young folk that gives me hope … and more important to her, a re-commitment to action. Thank you for posting this inspiring TED Talk.

Couldn’t resist to send it to all our parliamentarians here in IRL. Thanks for the heads up, Peter. This girl is from Sweden and speaks a better English than this Tramp.

Straight from the heart, and straight to the point… w/o the fuuffy chatter and usual TEDx too-polished sheen. Love to hear communication like this. Most scientists do. So very tired of all the BS that our “leaders” give instead, and even the so-called do-gooders do as well, in their own attempts at manipulation.
