Trailer: Flint Town

March 5, 2018

I worked on the street in some of the worst parts of Flint for a year as a new paramedic, before moving on to Saginaw for a while. Both hard hit towns, tough to say which place was worse.

But the people are resilient, talented, hard working, –  and slowly rising again.

I think this video below gives you a hint about the core problem in the US and A:

It also shows the arrogance trying to judge another country.

Meanwhile => What Can We Learn From Denmark? by Bernie Sanders

It’s laughable and ironic that one who repeatedly “shows such arrogance judging another country” is trying to make something out of this Oprah clip. What’s your interpretation of of Oprah’s reaction, Chucky? Do you not think the Danish woman is being a bit judgmental herself when she implies that the US is not “civilized”? Would you really suggest that we should substitute “civilizedism” for socialism on the spectrum of “isms”? Did you really understand Bernie’s message?

Back to the topic at hand, I spent some time teaching in an inner city school in NJ in the 60’s. I will never forget how hard people fought to overcome racism, discrimination, and wealth’income inequality and do better for themselves and their families—-nowhere near as bad as Flint, though, and I am glad to hear peter say that they’re “rising”.

I know it’s hard to look into the mirror, dumbo. Do you often hear voices? Who started judging another country here? Maybe you need to watch and listen to the video a couple of times more. It’s not a very long clip. So it should be doable, even for you, dumbo 😉

BTW, a socialist country wouldn’t allow private corporations and privately owned business. Meanwhile, Denmark has plenty of them and is a capitalist country. It seems that many US Americans don’t know the difference between socialist and social. The latter also means civilised.

A civilized group of people is characterized by being socially […] advanced.
