The Scientists and Their Global Warming Riches. Right.

November 23, 2017

“Climate Scientists are all in it for the money”.

Katharine Hayhoe breaks it down.

I’ve met scientists who left Wall Street Hedge fund jobs, because they found searching for truth more meaningful. And the reality that working for an Oil company is vastly more profitable than toiling on a glacier is obvious – yet still the myth persists.

What a crock of BS. Nobody is going to the poorhouse and living on the streets who goes off to Greenland, as an example, doing their favorite hobby. Most people do not do their favorite hobby for a living, they get up go to work and at the end of the day thank god they are one day closer to retirement.

These science types all live off those people who work to live with a house for them and the family. They never go off to Greenland to do their hobby only on vacation from actual work.

While one can argue that the results of that hobby have greatly benefited the ones who cannot do that, the claim these scientists are not in the money is pure BS. All of them depend on grants and jobs paid for by the taxpayers directly or indirectly and know that if they never cross the higher ups will continue to have grants and money to live in style and pursue their hobby.

What the rest of us need is actual data not opinions that are PC for the moment in time at which they are given. In Greenland , for example, the wailing and blahing about melting and flooding are the PC talk of the moment, Nobody seems to care that the data shows Greenland is not a stable system and never has been, its temperature goes up and down a lot which means the ice comes and goes a lot otherwise the Viking could not have lived there for about 300 years starting in 900 AD.

“Most people do not do their favorite hobby for a living, they get up go to work and at the end of the day thank god they are one day closer to retirement”. I think that is pretty much the reality but it’s the system you’all chose so quit whining you ninny.

seamless, hermetically sealed logic loop on full display here.

      “what we need is data”
“science types” that go to gather the data cannot be trusted, because they don’t hate their damn job, like me”
“since I don’t have data and don’t trust anyone that gathers it, allow
me to make some up, based on my Facebook research.”
      “so there. harrumph”

I’m trying to fathom how a scientific fact might be labeled as ‘politically correct’… a term which, in and of itself, has lately become oxidized by morons. Facts are just facts. However, juxtaposed with poor policy, one could, of course, construe certain critical facts as inconvenient… True story.

Falwel: “Most people do not do their favorite hobby for a living…” So, your resentment of the Scientists is not over their ‘massive paycheck’, but because they enjoy their work? I think your REAL problem with ‘the elitists’ was best defined by H.L. Mencken: “Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.”

      Your ignorance is truly astounding.

I was always a bit suspicious that Kevin Trenberth hid a bunch of heat on his place in New Zealand to sell back at gouger prices when it gets cold.
