In the earlier days of the Trump Misadministration, I believed that as Trump voters realized how they were suffering the most from his destructive policies that some significant number of them would turn against them. Instead, I now agree with the suggesting that they’d burn down their houses just to get smoke in the eyes of the liberal elites. (And Trae Crowder saw this coming.)
A few days ago I read an article (perhaps in the New York Times) claiming that an academic had done a statistical analysis of the Nov-8 votes, and that Clinton lost in three swing states where families had experience the greatest war-related losses in the past 12-years. The article claimed that many voted for Trump because he promised to put an end to America’s wars in the middle East while Clinton continued to talk tough. If any of this is true and Trump does not end the war, then the American people will vote against Trump if he decides to run again in 2020. Meanwhile, democratic presidential candidate, Bernie Saunders, was the only person on the left talking about ending war. Revelations from Wikileaks informs us that internal irregularities at the DNC stole the democratic primary from Sanders in order to hand it to Clinton. So now you need to ask yourself this: if the original Sanders supporters would have gotten out to vote on Nov-8 along with the a fore-mentioned war-weary swing states, then would the world be dealing with Trump issues today?
I’m not sure Republicans are the ‘Troll Party’, anymore than they are the ‘alt-Right Party’. But as Bannon dog-whistles the alt-Right to come-a-runnin’, so he does as well with the keyboard warriors. To what end? I really, really think its to distract from Mueller. Sounds vain and petty, but who does that remind you of, anyway? The closer Mueller gets, the clearer these signals are going to be:
“They’re going to steal back the last election. Are you going to let them do that to ‘our’ movement?”
