Maher still gets it. The Democrats losing yet another special election just shows how hard it’s going to be to stop Trump if the Dems don’t get cracking.. Good cartoon in the WashPost today.
Time to call a spade “a spade”. While it is troublesome that Republicans intend to ditch parts of medicare/medicade while ending support of planned parent hood, for some reason ~45% of the American public did not vote: http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/11/politics/popular-vote-turnout-2016/index.html
…and that means they just don’t care. People in other countries dream of democracy and yet we people in the west take it for granted. This situation will never change as long as people treat politics as a spectator sport.
Trump voters are like chickens voting for KFC.
I hope that if the world gets though the next four years, that we’ll be able to look back and laugh, and learn that this must never be allowed to happen ever again.

He’s not really in a good place to talk, given his support for anti-vax stuff…

True enough, but he DOES get it on climate change and Trump The Orange Menace, so cut him some slack

Sure. I decided a long time ago to assume that everybody’s going to have SOME belief or behavior that I don’t like. No heroes and all that.
But Maher has a huge platform, and he’s done some damage for it, so while his good points are still good, it’s worth remembering the bad, too.
