New Ad Brings Sides Together Over a Beer.

April 27, 2017

I get all the feel-goody vibes here.

And of course, I have no problem having civil conversations with people, for instance, like uber climate denier Marc Morano, who lies for a living. (He knows that. I know that. He knows that I know that. And he’s fine. We’re fine. Really. It’s cool.)

But.

Excellent. This applies to all manner of diverging opinions on all manner of subjects.

  2. dumboldguy Says:

The ad is an excellent, excellent piece of work. Very well done. But IMO far too long and far too intellectual to get through to the vast majority of the misogynistic, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, science and climate change denying cretins on the right.

It has been my experience that they just believe what they want to believe, and I have had little luck engaging any of them at the level shown in this ad. Marc Morano is a special case—-he is proud of being a shyster and how he is making big bucks at it—–he shows that clearly in the excellent interviews with him that you have posted here (but not often enough). He knows that you know he’s a liar and enjoys the game (since you don’t outright accuse him of lying).

On the other hand, we have the example of Vera, who is sucking up to us with her Doctor Obvious comment of how “This applies to all manner of diverging opinions on all manner of subjects”. DUH! Does she really believe this one brief and mindless brown nosing comment is going to change our opinion of her or somehow undo all the filth and insanity she has posted here (because we made her do it, of course)?

      • vierotchka Says:

Your lips and tongue are covered in a brown crust from constantly licking dumboldguy’s unwiped ass! LOL!

        • dumboldguy Says:

Did I say “filth and insanity”? Vera steps right up and proves me right about her yet again.

I spent some time in the USMC, which is known for the rather vulgar language used day-to-day, especially by the DI’s in boot camp, but Vierotchka’s insane filth would surprise even DI’s—-they would both blush and reach for a weapon to protect themselves from her—-anyone that sick has got to be dangerous. I myself would not go within 100 yards of Vera without a weapon in hand.

I am now nearly 77 years old, and I have NEVER heard a more vulgar and sick comment in my life—-not in the locker room, in bars, or in the barracks in the USMC. If someone had delivered such a comment, they would have either had the shit kicked out of them or been ostracized. It is incomprehensible that anyone would say such a thing on a climate change blog.

          • vierotchka Says:

You haven’t been around much and have zero world experience! I did see you post “eat shit and die” a while ago, and some of the stuff you’ve posted to me is worse than anything I have ever posted, so pot.kettle.black, old fart!

          • dumboldguy Says:

“You haven’t been around much and have zero world experience!”, says Vera—-another typical and meaningless bald assertion from the master of saying nothing substantive.

You say you DID did see me post “eat shit and die” a while ago? Don’t think so—another bald assertion—–give us a link to that Crock thread so we can all see it again.

And some some of the stuff I’ve posted to you is worse than anything you have ever posted? Let me remind you of this comment of yours, which is worse than ANYTHING I have ever seen on Crock or anywhere else on the web.

“Your lips and tongue are covered in a brown crust from constantly licking dumboldguy’s unwiped ass! LOL!” JFC, but that is INSANE and FILTHY!

          • vierotchka Says:

Man, you’re so easy it is almost boring! LOL!

          • dumboldguy Says:

What’s “easy” is predicting how Vera will behave (badly). In this case she pulls a comment made NOT to or about her out of context and tries to use it to make a case that I’ve said worse things to/about her than vice-versa. Nice try, stupid STUPID woman, but it won’t work. Go see the full thread here, and note how Vera covers herself in glory once again.

Here’s a slightly more complete excerpt of the thread—-C666 and I were talking about Master (Tom) Bates, NOT Vera.

  3. Great ad.

It’s always much easier to deal with one person at a time, to find common ground when you’re working with someone you normally wouldn’t even speak to.

OTH, when we’re talking about an existential threat to us all, AND to the planet itself, it’s impossible, IMO. Especially when you feel/know that the other side is being paid cold hard cash to destroy the world, YOUR world, the world your family lives in…..well, you might have some difficulty communicating civilly with those people.

A similar example would be dealing with Russian trolls who are part of an operation that gave us Trump, a man who has no business even being a dogcatcher.

Back to trolls, who have been posting seizure inducing gifs with the intent to harm others, well, as you might say, Greenman, this is not cool.

    • vierotchka Says:

Poor little diddums… and you think insulting and attacking others is cool? You are pitiful.

      • jpcowdrey Says:

        vierotchka,

You think returning insults and attacks with insults and attacks is somehow productive?

This would all go away if you’d just admit that Russia isn’t paradise on Earth and Vladimir Putin isn’t the poor humble public servant you make him out to be.

If it would help, I’ll go first. The United States has a horrific record of interfering in the internal politics of other countries. The US, since it’s inception, has been and continues to be a de facto oligarchic republic, despite 250 years of progressive reform aiming to make it the representative democracy we aspire for it to be.

The greatest difference, as I see it, is Americans are much less likely to be murdered by the State, or gangsters acting as surrogates of the State, for criticizing State policies. At least for the present.

I can understand your love of homeland. Everyone has an attachment to the place they come from, but there must be reasons you are an ex-patriate.

        dog,

Don’t be cruel. Holding a grudge only harms the grudge-holder.

        I think I’ll have a beer.

        • vierotchka Says:

I simply point out the lies about Putin and Russia that are proffered here, and people are much, much safer in Russia than they are in the USA.

My homeland is Switzerland, and the UK.

When I am bullied, I hit back. Now, there are two kinds of bullies – the smart ones and the dumb ones. The smart ones stop their bullying when the person they bully hits back. The dumb ones continue with their bullying. The people here belong to the latter group, and some, like Nicole and shwadevivre are crybullies. These dumb bullies here need to be hit back a vast number of times before they learn their lesson.

I am not cruel, I practice tough compassion – a Buddhist technique – on them, by giving them what they need and not what they want.

Enjoy your beer, and don’t drive – it’s best not to drink at all before driving – or make it an alcohol-free beer.

          • dumboldguy Says:

JFC! Vera is now giving advice about not drinking and driving? Is this meant to display some sort of compassion or morality on her part? This from the person who posted potentially seizure inducing gifs without warning and posts little but INSANE FILTH on this site?

I will again say AGAIN that having bullshit arguments and pro-Russian propaganda refuted here does not constitute “bullying”. What IS bullying is the vicious and INSANE FILTH that Vera posts as she “hits back” at people who are her betters in every measure that can be applied to a human being.

More evidence of what a stupid, stupid, STUPID woman Vera is is this comment:
“These dumb bullies here need to be hit back a vast number of times before they learn their lesson”.

Guess what, Vera, the “vast number of hits back” have not made anyone “learn a lesson”. At least not the one you are trying to “teach” in your deluded state.
ALL OF US here on Crock HAVE learned that you are a worthless POS that clutters up comment threads and makes it hard to discuss climate change. Of course that may be part of being a Whore for Russian and Putin—–distract everyone while Putin and his puppet Pussy Grabber collude to lift the sanctions and start pumping huge quantities of oil and gas.

          • dumboldguy Says:

Correction: YOU are so colossally retarded that you can’t come up with a substantive response, so you resort to your normal behavior—-attack and insult rather than engage in rational discussion.

Score is now DOG and the sane Crockers many hundreds, Vera a mere handful of very weak points. Keep teaching us those lessons, Vera!

          • dumboldguy Says:

Yes, Vera IS in a serious state of denial. And perhaps dementia? Only someone who is cognitively impaired would think that a bald assertion of “that’s not true” represents any kind of argument.

          • jpcowdrey Says:

Never in the history of the world has anger been stilled by anger.
Only by non-anger can anger be stilled.

The quarrelers do not realize that one day we all must die.
Those who realize this resolve their quarrels.

            —The Dhammapada

          • vierotchka Says:

There is not an iota of anger in me. In the Buddhist tradition, compassion always has two aspects: one is that it’s peaceful and loving and caring, but the other is ruthless and not afraid to cut through something that needs to be cut through. I practice the latter with the offensive posters here.

            http://marciasirotamd.com/ruthless-compassion-action/what-is-ruthless-compassion

            This is how it works:

          • jpcowdrey Says:

Not an iota of anger? Congratulations on your parinirvana. You should call the Dalai Lama immediately and tell him to step down so you can take his place.

          • vierotchka Says:

I am very, very far from being unique in that way, your stupid sarcasm notwithstanding.

          • dumboldguy Says:

“Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense” is perhaps a bad translation or maybe even a fake Buddha quote, but I like it better than “The quarrelers do not realize that one day we all must die. Those who realize this resolve their quarrels” (from the Dummapada).

Reason and common sense dictate that there is NO resolution to be obtained with certain “quarrelers” and that they must be fought tooth and nail until death. To not do so, and instead to waste time seeking resolution. violates some philosophical principle that i can’t manage to articulate so early in the AM.

          • vierotchka Says:

Ah, at last, you have finally understood what it is I do and why!

          • jpcowdrey Says:

If you are being attacked by someone physically, you certainly have the right to defend yourself, but killing someone over an intellectual dispute doesn’t pass my judgment of reason or common sense. It does no good to quarrel with someone unwilling to listen to reason. Life is too short.

          • vierotchka Says:

As if dumboldguy has ever responded to me with reason… LOL!

          • jpcowdrey Says:

He has, but you reject his reasons for your own, which you have shown a stark unwillingness to reconsider. Things go downhill from there. If one really wants to practice Buddhism, one has to make the effort to take responsibility for the situation in which one finds oneself. Blaming others for their shortcomings, real or imagined, isn’t going to accomplish that.

What I’ve learned from my teachers is: Enlightenment isn’t something one achieves for oneself, it arises spontaneously when one begins to recognize the Buddha Nature in others.

This is what tough compassion actually is. Posting annoying gifs of pop culture put downs is not it.

          • vierotchka Says:

Well, you’ve had some pretty poor teachers, then.

          • vierotchka Says:

Oh, and not once has he tried to reason me – not that I need reasoning.

Buddhists Don’t Have to Be Nice: Avoiding Idiot Compassion

            http://rethinkingreligion-book.info/buddhists-dont-have-to-be-nice-avoiding-idiot-compassion/

In Tibetan Buddhism, Mahakala is a wrathful emanation of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion.

          • jpcowdrey Says:

One does not have to be anything to be a Buddhist. A master can be harsh in reprimanding a student, but only if it is helpful to his practice. When a Buddhist responds to an attack with another attack, she is not being helpful, nor is she being a student of the Buddha. She is just rationalizing her interior spitefulness. Compassion is hard. It is returning anger with a sincere desire to be of service. One does not need to make an outward display of being nice, but one is obligated to make an effort to act out of kindness and deep respect for the fundamental dignity of others.

But what do I know? I’ve only been practicing mindfulness for 49 years.

          • vierotchka Says:

You sound like a total beginner on that subject.

          • jpcowdrey Says:

            Beginners mind is Enlightened mind.

          • vierotchka Says:

That’s delusion, it is your ego dominating you completely.

          • vierotchka Says:

Enlightenment has nothing to do with the mind. At the moment of Enlightenment the individual “you” (ego/mind) dissapears completely and literally dies. There is no such thing as an enlightened mind.

          • jpcowdrey Says:

Beginners mind is enlightened mind is a Zen koan. In the words of Sensei Shunru Susuki, “In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few.” The beginners mind is open, empty and eager to learn. The very traits we wish to cultivate in our practice.

There was never any separate self (ego) from the beginning. Nothing to disappear. Mind is the arising of thoughts/feelings in the brain. The illusion of ego arises from clinging to them. Not-clinging is simple in conception, difficult in execution.

As I said before, there is no enlightenment to be achieved, just the recognition of Buddha Nature in others.

            Namaste

          • vierotchka Says:

I don’t do Zen. Anyway, all I was saying was

          • jpcowdrey Says:

Zen is the Japanese cognate of the Sanskrit word Dhyana which is the Buddhist practice of Right Mindfulness (meditation). It has the common meaning in Japan of ‘happiness’. I am truly sorry to hear you don’t do Zen.

I know I’ve been harshly critical of you, but I want you to know, it’s from a position of compassion. I’ve been hoping you’d pick up on the irony on your own, but I’m getting tired of all this monkey-mindedness. Can’t we just discuss things over a beer, like adults?

Btw, Rinpoche Trungpa is my root guru.

          • vierotchka Says:

I don’t do beer, and you’re pretty full of yourself.

          • vierotchka Says:

By the way, it is Trungpa Rinpoche and not Rimpoche Trungpa.

          • jpcowdrey Says:

You’re right. Thank you for the correction. Btw, last month was the 30th anniversary of Rinpoche’s parinirvana. Please feel free to ring a bell and light some incense.

          • vierotchka Says:

I’ll do it the Vajrayana way. 🙂

          • jpcowdrey Says:

            I can appreciate that.

        • dumboldguy Says:

Vera does not return attacks and insults to insults and attacks—–what she calls “attacks and insults” on her have been factual arguments and rejections of her mindless Russian troll bullshit. Just because she doesn’t like it and can’t come up with intelligent rejoinders, she responds NOT with intelligence, rational arguments, or facts in rebuttal, but with INSANE MINDLESS FILTH. I hold no “grudge” towards Vera, and if there is any cruelty here, it is what Vera displays in her comments.

If Vera had been a teacher, student, parent, or staff member at any of the schools I ran here in VA, she would have had her ass fired or otherwise jacked up for her behavior, and perhaps even been charged under the provisions of Code of Virginia 18.2—-the law that prohibits “curse and abuse” and using “abusive language”. I took a number of dumb big-mouthed assholes to court over the years-under that law—none of them got jail time, but a $250 to 500 fine DID get their attention (as did the judge’s promise to lock them up if they did it again).

Why doo you coddle Vera and excuse her behavior? I’m surprised—-you were much harder on Omnologos, and he was just a moron, not a sick, dangerous, demented POS like Vera. (Or is that a “cruel” thing to say?)

          Enjoy your beer.

          • vierotchka Says:

Utter bullshit and lies from you, as always!

          • dumboldguy Says:

Utter lies and bullshit, says Vera? Here’s a brief explanation of the “curse and abuse” law in VA—-many other states and localities have similar laws. Although the law provides that “the abusive language generally needs to be used in-person”, what Vera says IS likely to provoke retaliation and violence, i.e., a “breach of the peace”. Some of the folks I took to court said things that were far less abusive than what Vero posts daily on Crock, and the judge found them guilty. Come to Virginia, Vera, and run your mouth—-I’ll charge your filthy, insane ass and laugh when the judge convicts you.

Cursing or Using Abusive Language in Virginia at another person is a crime in Virginia under Va. Code §18.2-416. The charge of Using Abusive Language in Virginia (Va. Code §18.2-416) is committed if an offender curses at another person or uses violent, abusive language to another person. The abusive language must be about the person to whom it was addressed or a member of his family, and it must be likely to cause a breach of peace.

The abusive language generally needs to be used in-person and in a manner that is likely to result in immediate retaliation. In other words, insulting language likely to provoke acts of violence or a fight would be prohibited by the statute. Violence does not need to actually result in order to be convicted. The offender has committed the crime as soon as he speaks the abusive language to another person.

Proof of Using Abusive Language to Another in Virginia

An offender can be convicted of using abusive language to another in Virginia under Va. Code §18.2-416 by:

cursing at, abusing, or using violent abusive language
            to another person
about him or a family member
in the presence or hearing of another person
under circumstances likely to lead to a breach of the peace.

Penalty for Using Abusive Language in Virginia
Using abusive language to another in Virginia is a Class 3 misdemeanor. It is punished with a fine up to $500.

Using Abusive Language in Virginia: Statute
§18.2-416. Punishment for using abusive language to another.
If any person shall, in the presence or hearing of another, curse or abuse such other person, or use any violent abusive language to such person concerning himself or any of his relations, or otherwise use such language, under circumstances reasonably calculated to provoke a breach of the peace, he shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor.

          • vierotchka Says:

            I don’t live in Virginia.

            Who cares what you think?

          • dumboldguy Says:

Who said you lived in VA? I invited you to visit here and run your INSANE FILTHY mouth at me and get charged with a violation of the law.

And who cares what I think? I have no problem saying “MANY more people than care about listening to you spout your INSANE FILTH”.

      • Rotchy, your insults don’t concern me in the slightest.

And, I’m really, really sorry if I hurt the feelings of any Russian trolls.

  4. To Peter, the offer to have a drink with me (beer for him, non-alcoholic beverage for me) still stands, to discuss every aspect of the climate issue and see if I am really what he believes I am. I say that in this discussion, Peter will be literally unable to dispute details of my work where I say his heroes have utterly undermined their claims that skeptic climate scientists are paid industry shills with their own spectacularly inconsistent and highly questionable narratives.

The one stipulation is that I will have someone record the entire meeting. AGWers, e.g. Mark Hertsgaard and his failed ambush of Senator Inhofe, are known for presenting material that is out-of-context in order to bolster their unsupportable claims and premises.

    • dumboldguy Says:

LOL….Peter has better things to do with his time than waste it having a drink with you, Russell. Have you had a drinking problem in the past, Russell? Is that why you want to go “non-alcoholic”? Wouldn’t surprise me.

You state unequivocally from the get-go that “Peter will be literally unable to dispute details of my work where I say his heroes have utterly undermined their claims that skeptic climate scientists are paid industry shills with their own spectacularly inconsistent and highly questionable narratives”, and show so little trust that you “will have someone record the entire meeting” because AGW-ers (Peter IS one) “are known for presenting material that is out-of-context in order to bolster their unsupportable claims and premises”. And you expect a positive response to that?

JFC! What the hell is wrong with you, Russell, that you would post such a comment? I will take the liberty of answering for Peter—-he can correct me if I have misspoken here.

GFYS, Russell—-and start down the yellow brick road to OZ—-you need a brain.

      • . . ( sorry for the delayed response, I have other things to do ) . .

Luv it. Hand commenter “dumboldguy” a particular line, and watch him veer off into conspiracy theory. Is he predictable or what?

Think about “d.o.g.”‘s line of reasoning here for a moment. Peter’s dig at Marc Morano is anything but positive, and yet Marc gave what is arguably a positive response. Yet it is inconceivable to “d.o.g.” that Peter can respond with “Yes, by God, I can and will point out your lies and bury you with proof showing skeptic scientists are paid to lie.”

Answer for Peter if you wish, but Peter is the ultimate arbiter of his own decisions.

        • dumboldguy Says:

Delayed response? Dang, we were hoping you had just gone away, but here you are crapping up the thread with your lying BS.

Marc Morano gave “what is ARGUABLY a positive response”? LOL Maybe you and the other deniers could argue that, but the rest of us see it for what it is—-just another whore for fossil fuels trying to deny his denialism and lie his way out of a corner.

The planet is pointing out the lies of the deniers and burying them with proof in the form of tornadoes, unprecedented floods (see Arkansas and Missouri), record temperatures, record ice melt, ad infinitum. WE KNOW that you and Marc (neither of whom have any science background AT ALL) are paid to lie, as are the denier scientists, and Peter is far too smart to respond to your bullshit about sitting down with you in that dung heap you inhabit. (Although Marc was foolish and egotistical enough to think he could score any points in previous interviews and it might be dun to watch him fail again).

PS Why don’t you tweet your buddy Marc and ask him to engage us here on Crock? I for one would love to ask him about the ethics and morality of working for the likes of Rush Limbaugh and James Inhoffe, as well as accepting what is an obscene amount of $$$ from CFACT to run the denier website.

  5. climatedepot Says:

    Peter,

What? You claim I lie for a living?! No I don’t. I literally never have thought that nor do I lie for a living or about climate change.

Then you claim: “He knows that. I know that. He knows that I know that. And he’s fine. We’re fine. Really. It’s cool.”

I do not know that. And I am not sure what you think you know. Do you really think skeptics, myself included, have to be liars to not believe that CO2 is the control knob and that somehow EPA and UN regulations will alter the Earth’s temperature?

I do not believe you really think I lie about climate or for a living. You can’t be that misguided. For my film Climate Hustle, I interviewed many left-wing earnest scientists who don’t buy the CO2 doomsday view of science. (www.ClimateHustle.com) They are dedicated scientists who are horrified by what they see as intimidation and skewing of data in order to preserve the global warming narrative.

Now, if we could just enjoy a beer together sometime maybe we could clear this up.

    Thanks
    Marc

    • greenman3610 Says:

First, Thanks for being a reader.
Marc, you’re too bright to take seriously the stuff you say. For sure,
your motivations baffle me. Good luck explaining to your
      Grandchildren.
Still appreciate your graciousness when we’ve interacted.
Might be time for another interview – I’d like to ask when you realized
you were really working for Vladimir Putin.
If not, happy to take you up on the beer sometime.

      • And why did Marc reply here on the 27th? Is it because of the Tweet I sent to him on your piece, which I cc’d you in? Funny how you don’t mention that here.

You have characterized me at least once as a denier commenter worth permitting at Crocks because I ‘typify’ what deniers are. But you never said what that was. Thus the invite to interview me, because I’m pretty well certain that everything you believe about me will implode. And I mean everything.

How about interviewing me and Marc together? The “King of Deniers”, which you can’t actually prove denies climate change, and me, a person who supposedly represents hoards of people out there who are whatever you think I am. Wouldn’t that be interesting? Or would you run from such an opportunity because of the damage it might end up doing for any wavering fans you might have?

        • dumboldguy Says:

You’re pathetic, Russell. Sniffing around butts and seeking attention like a stray dog.
Anyone should get excited because you tweeted your fellow denial stooge Marc?
Do you also tweet Monckton, Watts, Soon, Singer, and all the other Heartland stooges that are on the whining Merchants of Doubt email list with you and Marc. IMO, Peter didn’t mention that tweet here because it’s meaningless—-you are small potatoes, Russell—-at least Marc gets paid big bucks for his whoring for fossil fuels..

EVERYTHING we believe about you will implode if only you would get interviewed? LMAO! You ARE delusional—–you have been “interviewing” for a long time through all the lying bullshit posts you make here, and that will never be undone with more lying bullshit. Give it up and serve your purpose as a bad example—-at least those fools at Heartland keep paying you your pittance because they think you’re accomplishing something.

Peter doesn’t need to “prove” that Marc Morano is a climate change denier—Marc does that nicely all by himself by his words and deeds. And the idea that you represent “hoards” (sic) of people is laughable.

How are your site stats for GobsOfS**TFiles.com? Is anyone listening to you at all but other mindless and ignorant deniers? Open your site to comments ftom all perspectives as Peter has done and maybe they’ll improve. You don’t have the balls to do so, because you KNOW we’ll destroy you once we start telling the truth there—YOUR fans will be the ones that will “waver” (or at least those with IQ’s around 3 digits and above, if you have any).

          JFC—you are tiresome—-go away!

          • As you full well know, there is absolutely, positively nothing preventing you from posting a guest post here or at DailyKos or anywhere else that’s entirely friendly to you, where you can name – in order – the worst, the most laughable, the most easily traceable to fill-in-the-blank, etc “lies” you claim are in my blog or in my online articles. And there is nothing preventing you from compiling your lists and sending them to lawyers or congressional investigators. If I am what you think I am, you can easily list those labels too, along with how you prove it.

All eyes on you, pal. But will your fellow Crocks pals think of you if they ask you for the top 10 worst lies at my blog which they’d rather not read for themselves, and you can’t deliver it? If they have to go to my blog and read it for themselves to extract the “lies” you say are in it, and can’t find any, how do you explain your position then?

          • dumboldguy Says:

Russell appears to be trying to turn it all back on me here—-what he delusionally thinks is a smart ‘tactical” move—-what he’s really doing is further embarrassing himself by now BEGGING to be noticed. I have spent much time “guest posting” about Russell here on Crock, and have no intention of going beyond that to the RWNJ sites where he posts his stuff, or to give him and his lying bullshit any exposure on a positive site like KOS. I WILL spend an hour a day on his GobsOfS**TFiles.Con/Scam site IF AND WHEN he opens it to comments, which he refuses to do because he is a coward and he knows that I and others with brains will destroy him there.

Russell’s real worry that he is soon going to lose relevancy (and his job) as a paid denier. Why should the fossil fuel interests continue to spend $$$ supporting an obscure minor league player like Russell when they now have President Pussy Grabber, Pruitt, Sessions, and other Repugnants in the batting order. Russell maunders on about 20-year-old conspiracy theories around “Ross Who” and mutters “Prove It” to us while the forces of evil bring back coal, drill off all the coasts and in the arctic, destroy the EPA, eliminate all clean power regulations, think about pulling out of the Paris Accords, and generally destroy the country and the biosphere.

NO eyes on you, Russell, hard as that may be for you to accept. My “fellow Crocks pals” don’t give a rat’s ass about you or your lies on your blog, and hardly pay any attention to you here on Crock anymore. Keep begging them to visit your blog, though—-it’s heartwarming to see how desperate you are and how much you grovel.

(And my “position” is unchanging—-you are a useless wart on the rear end of the human race, a denier whore, and so ignorant of science that you have NEVER answered a single science question that we’ve put to you. You have no business coming to Crock, have outlived your usefulness as a bad example, and should be banned.)

          • Sez “d.o.g.” “I have spent much time ‘guest posting’ about Russell here on Crock.” Prove it. Post the specific comment links with the devastating take-downs. If you can even rise to the simple challenge of posting comment links, all people will see is that you’ve called me varieties of names, but haven’t delivered ONCE on destroying my details at GelbspanFiles. Say, for example, Oreskes’ timeline wipeout on when she met Eric Conway who told her about who the attackers of her ’04 Science paper were (to which I thank Peter for that lead). Beg to have me banned all you like, but all eyes are still on you as to one good reason why I should be. You can’t even prove I’m paid to comment here, or exactly where I live or what kind of headgear I wear/don’t wear. All eyes will still be on you when Crocks guys ask you, “do you have ANY lies of his at that blog I can use?” If you can’t deliver, they’ll start to wonder if other accusers can’t deliver on material against ‘big league’ skeptics, just like I detail at GelbspanFiles. Your failure here is merely an indication of a much larger cancer on the AGW issue. And that just eats you alive, doesn’t it? You want me silenced because the thing you fear the most is your own people losing faith in the orthodoxy of the ‘crooks paid to lie’ accusation, after they read the depth of details I have on that whole 20-year-to-present situation.

          • dumboldguy Says:

Nobody cares about you and your bullshit, Russell—–go away. This message of yours is simply delusional—-particularly in terms of your self-perception of your “grandeur’ and importance. Don’t you understand that we see you as the crazy guy standing on a soap box in the park? You know, that guy who said in 2014 “Heartland is scraping the bottom of the barrel to have me speak—-I literally just walked in off the street—-I know no science”.

I will repeat that anyone who goes to your GobsOfS**TFiles site DOES risk permanent brain damage, since it is just a denier propaganda site where they will be lied to and brainwashed. On the other hand, IF AND WHEN you find the balls to open the site to comments, we will flock there to point out the many lies and logic fails in your maunderings. There and only there, so you may as well stop begging us to crap up Crock any more than we do now in dealing with you.

    • dumboldguy Says:

      Marc,

I’d like to also thank you for being a reader and having the balls to make a comment on Crock—-very few of the major deniers do. I have greatly enjoyed Peter’s past interviews with you and hope you will sit down with him again.

I will second what Peter said here—-“Marc, you’re too bright to take seriously the stuff you say. Your motivations baffle me. Good luck explaining to your Grandchildren”. Pretty much covers all the bases in a few words.

I know that your normal audience mindlessly sucks up your maunderings about climate change without questioning you, but would like to ask you why you think the far better-informed readers of Crock would believe one word of it and grant you any credibility? We are all quite familiar with your background and history, and we ALL consider you to be nothing more than a paid whore for fossil fuels (albeit a somewhat personable and entertaining one). Your bland (and weak) denial here doesn’t change the FACTS about you that can be gleaned from looking at sites like Media Matters and Desmogblog. From Media Matters a few years back but still true:

“Marc Morano runs the climate denial website ClimateDepot.com. He previously worked for Rush Limbaugh and Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) — both vocal climate change deniers.

“Although he has no scientific background, Morano has declared that the science of manmade climate change is “collapsing.” He has called global warming a “con job” and said that climate scientists “deserve to be publicly flogged.” Morano often appears on Fox News to spread misinformation on climate change, and Rush Limbaugh has repeatedly used his material to attack climate scientists.

“Climate Depot is sponsored by the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT), a conservative think tank that has received funding from ExxonMobil and Chevron. CFACT dismisses the scientific consensus on climate change and maintains that “real world evidence” shows that “global warming claims are failing.” To spread its message, CFACT organized the Copenhagen Climate Challenge — a conference of climate contrarians — to coincide with the UN climate conference in 2009.

“UPDATE (12/5/12): CFACT’s 2011 financial disclosure form reveals that it received over $300,000 from Donor’s Trust, an anonymously funded group that PBS called the “number one supporter of the groups” that deny climate change. It lists Morano as the highest paid member of its staff at a salary of over $150,000 a year”.

You say “I do not know that.“ to Peter’s “He knows that. I know that. He knows that I know that. And he’s fine. We’re fine. Really. It’s cool” regarding your being a paid liar. Have you really watched the video of your interviews with Peter? It certainly appeared to me that you knew that he knew, etc—-the word play between you was quite entertaining that way.

I hope you can keep coming back here to Crock right now in order to “clear this up”. I would particularly like to hear your answer to the “when did you realize you were working for Putin” question.

  6. Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more! (ref. can not remember.)

April 28—-FOUR replies to my reasoned comments from Vera in two minutes, and they are all gifs of moronic laughing.

Which IS appropriate, I guess, since we Crockers are all laughing at what a stupid, stupid, STUPID woman and ineffective troll Vera really is.

At least we didn’t have to look at any of her INSANE FILTH.
