Look the place flooded for a simple reason. Unlike New Orleans which has new and improved levees, the entire place which flooded is in a flood plain.
The authorities allowed everybody to build in a flood plain and since this is Lousiana, never bothered to build levees. They simply had a flood.

Yeah and in coming years you’ll be saying that about Florida…….

“They simply had a flood.” Yup. And California simply had a drought, the Arctic Ocean simply had a meltdown, and half of the Great Barrier Reef simply had a disagreement. Life is all very simple in the Bates Motel, where ‘Mother’ simply doesn’t approve of Son’s romantic interests.

Bates is another in the same vein as the Kookie Cook and Omno (who seems to be AWOL at present), always injecting comedy gold into the discussions.

I guess that’s true, especially if one likes to go down to the local mental hospital and laugh at the antics of the inmates, but IMO our chubby-cheeked little friend Omno is the only one of them that is “comedic”.
Russell Kook is a disgusting whore who is infected with STD’s (Stupidity Transmitted Diseases), and he evokes only tight-lipped grins. Tommy-Poo (the Mental Wanker) is just plain sicker than a rabid raccoon, and evokes no laughter—–running into him on Crock is like coming around a corner and finding someone defecating in the middle of a crowded sidewalk. He is to be pitied. (Unless, of course, he is really a POE, in which case he is to be chastised for being unimaginative and repetitive and generally overdoing it).

How high would you suggest they build the levees? Louisiana saw areas flooded that were well above any previous flood levels. That rain dump was thoroughly unprecedented but appears to be what we should expect to see more of.

LOL—-good one! Except when the SHTF big time, a few cans of tomato soup and a bottle of wine are not going to get the job done. The woman will also need to pick up some ammo for the weapons she will need to fight off those who will try to steal her soup.
PS Sorry to see that Master Bates is here once again engaging in his usual mental onanism. They “simply had a flood”, he says? And the “new and improved” levees in New Orleans have somehow elevated the city so that it no longer sits in a below sea level bowl? Neat trick, Tommy Poo—-maybe Miami can “build levees” too, and thereby magically avoid flooding. Moron!

“mental onanism”
Descriptive.
