Dark Snow 2016 Fieldwork Fundraiser Wraps Today
June 9, 2016
Wrapping the 2016 Dark Snow Fieldwork Fundraiser, which has been a success. Thanks to all who helped out, I’m going to try to write a note to everyone before I leave in a few weeks.
Anyone that’s been watching Dark Snow for the last 4 years knows that this is not a high end lux media project – but rather a bare-bones, nimble and adaptable, passion-driven mission to provide the most immediate, informative, and credible connection to this vital window on a changing climate.
Things are moving very fast this melt year – but I’m satisfied that, once on the ground in Greenland, I’ll have enough flex to be able to follow up on the developing stories, and I’ll be live-blogging developments as they happen, from the base at Kangerlussuaq International Science Support (KISS).
Just spoke to Dark Snow Chief Scientist Dr. Jason Box, who gives us a Greenland update elsewhere on this page.
