The Weekend Wonk: Monitoring Greenland

Young film crew follows Dr. Alun Hubbard to Ilulissat (Jakobshavn) Glacier, to observe how film and data observations are acquired – a lot of nice shots of places the Dark Snow team has covered in recent seasons.

My 2013 interview with Dr. Hubbard is below. I talked to him last month at the AGU conference, and will be posting some of that soon.

  1. The boulder rolling down the hill is now gaining speed. The momentum towards a fossil fuel free future is picking up…..:)

    Brilliant video – Did I hear 140 feet of melt in a decade ?, truly frightening. My generation are certainly sluggish to react and stupidly stubborn in views, so here’s to the next, and if there are many more thinking like Jack, we have a chance.
