    Does Ted Cruz know about OMG? What part of the NASA budget is it part of? I hope they buried it somehow in the manned space flight and Mars Exploration budgets so that he won’t try to cut it.

    It’s great that this study is occurring, but it amazes me that our response times on following up on new discoveries seem to be so slow—I guess it does take time to ramp up, but the business of warm and salty ocean water melting ice sheets from below is not exactly “new” news.

    (And by the way, that play on OMG is clever as hell—at least to my dumb old brain).

  3. Actaully this article is untrue per NOAA. This last ice season Greenland gained back ice but is still below the 1981- 2000 average. The north Atlantic cold spot around Greenland is colder than average and the sea ice lasted a month longer than average.
