I am not a Scientist, but it is pretty upsetting to see Steve Moore (on Bill Maher) trot out the blatantly untrue fossil-fueled ‘factoid’ that Scientists thought the planet was cooling in the 1970s. Fossil-fueled myths like that should have a ‘sell by’ date. I’m sure Moore is no dummy, or he wouldn’t be on Maher’s show. But to see him pull out that stinker and defend it so vociferously is deeply upsetting. If we can agree on nothing else, we should at least agree on our own easily-verifiable history:

Statistically, for every Moore repeating that lie there should be SEVEN equally loud anti-Moore’s shouting him down. But watching that segment you see how one mentally-infected individual can dominate the discussion to passionately brain-f8rt oil-lies onto Maher’s speakers, his audience, and everyone tuning in.

Moore seems to have come from the same ‘motormouth’ mould as Marc Morano. I suspect they get training on how to talk-over others so as to drown them out. Humility Steve Moore, nope didn’t see any of that from you. Clearly he is another who does not understand, or pretends not to considering his niche in life, the meaning of consensus, which does not mean 100% agreement as he tries to confuse by creating a strawman.
I guess practice at the WSJ and FoxNews makes such slick misrepresentations slide off his tongue like s*** off a shovel, straight into his books no doubt.

Is this parody, self parody or what?
Ram Johnston
‘I am not a scientist but I do know that seasons change, it is hot in the summer and its cold in the winter and its been that way since
the universe was created seven thousand years ago…’
With a machine for mass murder in one hand and a book, if a Bible, detailing acts of mass murder in the other why should we be worried?
Ram could do with a read of this:

highly recommended.

It’s parody. Notice the rotary-dial phone?
I admit, it’s awfully hard to tell sometimes.

There’s an internet law about that. Poes law.
Yes indeed.

I’m not a scientist (altho’ I am an amateur astronomer) therefore when it comes to science I listen to the people who *are* scientists because they know what they are talking about.
Also I trust rocket scientists to know about rocket science and climate scientists to know about climate science.
I won’t tell a plumber how to do his job since I’m not a plumber. I won’t wire my house myself since I’m not an electrician and so, logically and consistently, I won’t do my own half assed analysis of the global climate because I’m not a climatologist.(Or at least won’t do it and then trust and spout it as though it obviously automatically successfully contradicts 98% of the actual experts in the field!)
Just what part of this is wrong or hard to understand?
(Thus why are we in the situation we’re in now on the climatology denial. Sigh.)

Or her job plumber-wise – apologies to all the female and non-male plumbers out there.
