Years of Living Dangerously: Governor Christie and the Kochtopus
May 12, 2014
From James Cameron’s Years of Living Dangerously on Showtime. The series continues with an examination of how the Koch Brothers fossil fuel industry tentacles reach deep into the political process. Enjoy a brief conversation with an irrational denier from Americans for Prosperity.

I used to think that these people were just batshit crazy but have come to realise that they are much worse. They are fully aware of what they are doing and they are prepared to see the destruction of the planet for power and money. This makes their conduct unconscionable and in my opinion, criminal. While the Koch’s of this world probably think they can insulate themselves from whatever environmental consequences are coming, they won’t be able to eat money.

It’s amazing that Lonegan gave such unabashed “stupid like a Fox” answers on camera. They may be overconfident.

What Americans do not understand is this: “Americans for Prosperity” is dedicated to “the prosperity of the already-rich Americans”; not rank-and-file citizens. And when you think about it, isn’t this just another form of feudalism?
