  1. rayduray Says:

Everything in America eventually gets completely corrupted. For instance, Richie Havens’ plea for ‘Freedom’ at Woodstock was taken up by pot-smoking Libertarians who want the freedom to get wasted taken up by the Koch Brothers who wanted freedom to mean the unlimited right of Koch Industries and its cohorts to run roughshod over the fruited plain. A kindred spirit was the Adair Family Ammonium Nitrate plant in West, Texas. Which also celebrated freedom from regulatory oversight.

So from Richie Havens entertaining a camp full of zoned out stoners in Woodstock we’ve come full circle in American to another dark skinned prophet today in Waco and in Dallas celebrating the freedom of the Adair Family to blow up an American city with impunity and the Bush Family to blow up the Middle East with equal impunity but a better cover story.

Talk about America as a pipe(bomb) dream. Oy vey Iz Mir.
