Lutz is an ideologue but I don’t think he’s a liar. He really believes all the BS he spouts.

    • Anna Says:

For Bob Lutz: if you’re an independent, rational thinker, you need to leave the cocoon. See especially the “Total Heat Content” one at

For Neil Tyson: What’s the most important thing you could be doing, and why aren’t you doing it? If science literacy is knowing enough to act as an informed citizen, the American voting public isn’t there yet, and the stakes are huge.

Please. Your great grandchildren need you,

“It’s 3:23 in the morning, and I’m awake
because my great great grandchildren won’t let me sleep.
My great great grandchildren ask me in dreams
what did you do, while the planet was plundered?
what did you do, when the earth was unraveling?
surely you did something when the seasons started failing
as the mammals, reptiles, and birds were all dying?
did you fill the streets with protest when democracy was stolen?
      what did you do

At what point can we start prosecuting people for crimes against humanity?

  3. guylacrosse Says:

    Neil DeGrasse Tyson FTW!

  4. Tyson didn’t slap down Lutz’s nonsense. He wasn’t prepared for that. Warming has stopped, IPCC said this, Gore said that. All easily responded to in 30 seconds or less. He could have also challenged Lutz to defend his position that scientists are all wrong and watch him stray into conspiracy territory. Disappointing performance by such a great communicator.

  5. Peter Mizla Says:

Lutz fits the arrogant white male plutocrat of the late 20th century.

  6. dana1981 Says:

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is pretty awesome.

I love how Lutz transitioned from claiming the IPCC has been wrong about everything (utter BS) to talking about what Al Gore supposedly got wrong (which was just a misrepresentation of Gore’s statements as well). Can he not differentiate between the IPCC and Al Gore?

More than anything it irritates me when ignoramuses like Lutz think they know more about climate science than scientists (especially climate scientists).
