The “Temp Leads Carbon Crock” – UPDATED
May 16, 2011
For a lot of climate deniers, this is their penultimate argument, the master climate crock. They think it’s the stroke to end all arguments. It’s only the most outrageous and dishonest cherry pick of all time.

Peter, yet another great and informative video.
Although Milankovic is credited with the discovery of the astronomical link with the ice-ages, it was James Croll1 (1821-1890), who IIRC first identified the ice-age cycle and then provided a mechanism and suggested as yet unknown feedbacks. The real trouble with Croll’s theory, was it was way before its time.
1 H/T to Prof. Iain Stewart ‘Men of Rock’.
The dispiriting thing is that individuals such as Rohrabacher who give the distinct impression of being smug ignoramuses are elected by a largely ignorant electorate, who are being fed lies aided and abetted by the scientists who deceived [2] the public by willing participating in ‘The Great Global Warming Swindle’ (excepting Carl Wunsch, who was selectively quoted) funded by organisations funded by the likes of Exxon, Koch, Peabody, Chevron et al.
While the real heroes of this story: Alley; Hansen; Santer; Mann; Tremberth; Jones; Schneider, Schmidt; Archer; Rahmsdorf; Steig; et al. are given scant recognition by the Public for their ground-breaking work and are or have been variously receiving death threats, law-suits and hate-mail.

great info.
maybe worth digging into in the future.
We’re going to win this thing. I’m taking a break from “crocks” for a while and will focus on solutions videos for the next few months, (unless some new egregious outrage or climate disaster intervenes….)

Peter, this was another great Crock.
If ever you find the time maybe you could do one on Watts contradicting Watts?
Looking forward to the solution vids! It’s one of those things I just don’t have the mental energy for to investigate.

talk about mental energy. I am freaking exhausted.
I’m glad there is more analysis coming out on the Watts paper.
The poor guy finally gets published, only to debunk himself.
sounds like a great video topic….

Great update.
I like the masked magician clip at the beginning. I remember that was a pretty cool show for a while.
