Situation Evolving at Onigawa Nuclear Plant following latest Quake

Citizen journalist Leakspinner brings us the latest development following the strong aftershocks that came on thursday.
Above you can see an NHK broadcast covering the situation.
It appears that there have been interruptions to power supplies to several other nuclear facilities. 2 out of 3 power supply cables cannot be used at the Onigawa Nuclear Facility. There are emergency situations at more than one site.

During the earthquake video in he news, you can see a huge blue light in the video. There’s no way that’s the Fukushima plant is there?

He thinks it could be a power station shorting out. A few moments afterwards many lights start going out in the buildings in the extender clip on that page. But here’s another possible explanation.
