Now a new, December 31 interview with Kindra Arnesen, the fisherman’s wife who has become the public face of  the impacted gulf post population.

“People are actually getting sick all over the gulf coast…”

I always want to be cautious about anecdotal accounts, I’ll be looking for more real credible analysis of this story. If anyone has some lines on that, let me know. I post these vids because common sense would indicate that the oil is still having repercussions throughout the Gulf and beyond, and society needs to maintain a memory of what happened, and an awareness of what is still happening.

One local activist, “Mac” Mackenzie of NOLA Emergency Response, decided that it was time to take matters into her own hands.

    We have always been on our own. The ‘government’ is full of conflicts of interests, not the least of which are political and have nothing to do with the wellbeing of the people.
    There is also a surprising lack of knowledge in this area.
    There’s a surprising lack of knowledge an a number of areas…which leads me to believe that we’re just overwhelmed.

    Lately I have wondered if the government is aware of how close we are to a point of no return concerning climate change, but is not telling us because there’s nothing we can do now. Like Deep Impact?
