In 2 decades of wars for oil and resources, the fossil fuel industry has gotten a lot of bad press.
But climate deniers are people too, and they need to feel good about themselves and what they do. So they’ve worked hard overcome feelings of guilt.

It’s a defense mechanism I call, “Therapeutic denial”…..

In July, as part of my “Climate Denial Crock of the Week” video series, I published a piece that criticized and parodied the work of well known climate denier Anthony Watts, and his “SurfaceStations.org” project.

On July 26, Watts filed what I regard as an improper “DMCA” claim against the video, and had it removed from YouTube.

In june of 2009, a story surfaced about the alleged suppression by the US EPA of information related to climate change.  The source of the information was reported to be one Dr.  Alan Carlin,  who, although a real EPA analyst, was in fact, an economist, not a scientist.

Distortions of the story, from the usual sources, began almost immediately.
