Even though there are relatively few comments here compared with the number one often sees following a CC article in the press, I think this is the first set of comments I have ever seen where people have not resorted to scoffing and name calling with the CC deniers calling the believers lefties, greenies, Al Gore-ists, David Suzuki groupies, etc., and making insulting comments about their level of intelligence and susceptibility to greenies’ scare tactics.

    Really refreshing!

We’re getting close to a threshold where lying government and industry miscreants and industry-funded scientists and “talking heads” are going to be exposed for all the world to see. The sad thing is that they are well aware of the dangers of anthropogenic CC but choose lying and denial as a way of protecting their vested interests. Comeuppance is inevitable, though. As Abraham Lincoln said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”

      Hi aac2446.

As a connoisseur of history, I appreciate the Lincoln quote you offered. Did you know that George W. Bush had a similar quote? In response to a question at a private gathering of the Gridiron Club in March, 2001 on what was the most important aspect of his successful campaign to win the Presidency, Mr. Bush said “you can fool some of the People all of the time… and those are the ones to concentrate on”.
